Tijili Seminyak Hotel

My sister in law came back from her honeymoon raving so much about Tijili Seminyak Hotel that when the opportunity arose I just had to experience it myself. My husband wanted a short getaway before Ramadhan season so off we flew to Bali.

There are two Tijili Hotels in Bali; one in Benoa and one in Seminyak. I decided to check out the later.

The Hotel

Located in Jl. Drupadi, Tijili Seminyak Hotel is only about 800m away from Seminyak Beach and conveniently close to Seminyak shopping areas.

It housed four types of Room (Deluxe, Deluxe Corner, Deluxe Balcony and Junior Suite) on a five-storey, brick walled building equipped by an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant called Kakaktua and a patio designated as the outdoor lounge area.

My sister kept praising its dazzling design, it wasn’t until I stepped inside its lobby that I finally understood what she was talking about. Every inch of the building completely instagrammable, those of you constantly looking for a perfect spot would be delighted.

Arriving at its busiest hour, I had to wait to be assisted and even then needed to wait furthermore while my room was being prepared.

As tired as I was from my journey to the island I couldn’t get annoyed because the hotel staff was very accommodating and attentive. My husband and I decided to have lunch at Kakaktua Restaurant while waiting for our room armed with welcome drink vouchers provided the reception staff.

The Room

I booked a Junior Suite through the hotel’s website and got a Bed & Breakfast deal for IDR 1.192.500,- (includes breakfast) per night. I got a room at the corner of the fifth floor. Exactly what I wanted; away from elevator noise and on a quiet floor.

The 52 sqm suite was spacious and well lit dominated by minty blues, oranges and yellows infused with wooden furnishing creating a warm delightful setting.

There is a pantry with the usual electric water boiler and a fridge, a living room, a balcony and a master bedroom with an enormous bathroom. We even get two 40″ LCD TV, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, along with wifi (strong one – yay!), cable channels and safety deposit box.

By the way, check out the cute room number sign outside your door. I spent a whole two hours looking for the “Do Not Disturb” and “Make Up Room” cards before I finally realised they are actually attached to this signage. LOL!

Guests are also provided with their own beautiful bathrobes. Room amenities includes liquid soap (lemongrass scented, I loved it!!), body lotion, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving kit, shower cap and even a hairdryer. There is really no need to bring your own amenities unless you are one of those people who prefer to use their own.

I especially loved the copper bathtub. There is nothing more heavenly than laying down in a bubble bath after a long day at the beach. Oh, do bring your own bubbles as the hotel does not provide one.

There is a video tour of the Junior Suite on my instagram handle, click here if you’d like to see it.

The Facilities

Breakfast was provided in Kakaktua restaurant. It was okay, a mixture of Asian and Western menu. I found the pastries are quite exceptional, though. They were delicious! Make sure you get your hands on those when you’re at the hotel.

There are no children’s activities nor kiddie pool at Tijili Seminyak Hotel but the hotel is within walking distance to the beach. You can opt for their buggy service that takes guests to the beach or to Seminyak center. Take note that they do not provide pick up service, though. Me, I walk everywhere to and from Tijili. I could always use a good exercise.

My experience at Tijili Seminyak Hotel has been very satisfying. It came to no surprise as the hotel has been granted one of the best bargain hotels in Indonesia (2019 Traveler’s Choice by Trip Advisor). I loved the ambience, its thoughtful staff and its strategic location. I could not recommend a better hotel. You can check out the hotel via its website.
